Because the doctor mistakenly transplanted the other person's brain to his own body, the tragicomedy of a man and a woman whose personalities were swapped --- I read this short comic by Mr. Gong Yueguang when I was in junior high school (I remember the title of the article is "Please Laugh") Forgive me!", sorry for any mistakes). The funny setting that would never happen in reality, the amusing and hysterical development, and the strong ending that wiped out all the achievements accumulated in the past, are so good that I will relive them again and again.Maybe it's because you can't forget its wonderfulness! When I was in my twenties and started a sci-fi doujinshi with friends, I wrote a short story about a man and woman who swap personalities through some bizarre invention called the personality switch. Many concepts such as the human self mentioned in this work come from this short story. However, this short story is naturally not a mystery novel, and the content of the story is completely different.

I'm ignorant, and I don't know if anyone has ever tried to write a mystery novel of this style with the same setting; as long as readers can find it interesting when reading this work, it is my great honor. Regarding the explanation content in this work, I have referred to and quoted the "First-person Psychology" and "Origin of Time and Space" in Mr. Kishida Hideo's book "The Psychoanalysis of Lazy People", and I would like to express my opinion here. Thank you. When the novel "Personality Transfer Killing" was published, a reader once asked me this question.

"How did the CIA rescue the six people who were imprisoned underground due to the earthquake? When the rescue team entered the 'room' to save people, didn't there be a personality exchange?" The answer is self-evident, naturally "it didn't happen"; because "only one" rescue team member entered the "room", and that person "rescued the protagonists one by one".The protagonists were rescued after the personality exchange was established; therefore, if more than two rescue team members enter the "room" at the same time, a personality exchange will be established between the team members, but it will not be possible if one person enters. make an impact.I have clearly explained this point in my works, but I did not say that "once personality exchange is established, no other personality can be added to the same group of people", so if this point makes readers feel uneasy, you may as well The explanation is that the protagonists were rescued by the mechanical arm.I can guarantee here that no matter what kind of explanation it is, it will not affect the puzzle solving.

When the author wrote this work "Personality Transfer Murder", he started from the standpoint of the original puzzle novel; however, as a science fiction novel, this work was also well received and left a deep memory for me.This work also won the tenth place in the annual list of "This mystery novel is great!" (1997 edition / Treasure Island Society) and the top ten of "SF Magazine" (February 1997 issue / Hayakawa Bookstore). The ninth place in "Best SF 1996"; it is a small pride for the author who is both a fan of mystery novels and a fan of science fiction.
