"No, that's not it. You read it wrong!" Ruby sat up on the bed, tugging at the sleeve of Red Rose, the child's freshly washed hair that fell over her shoulders. "I read it right, sweetheart." Red Rose tried not to show her frustration. "You've got to say it like Diamanti," Ruby insisted. Diamanti could barely speak English, thought Red Rose, let alone read it. "Okay, sweetheart. Let's move on. Ready?" She covered her face with the book so that Ruby couldn't see her helpless expression.Hell, what's the point of hiring a live-in servant who comes home at night.

It certainly wasn't because she didn't like reading stories to little Ruby.Just not this night. This night, unlike the usual ones, Red Rose did not want to tell the abominable Snow White story that had been told a thousand times.But how to explain it to an innocent four-year-old? "Cathy!" Ruby slapped Red Rose's wrist, pulling Red Rose back to reality, and staring at her sternly. "Oh! My dear, it hurts!" The painful expression and trembling lower lip could no longer hide from anyone, and Ruby saw it squarely. "Snow White! Snow White!" she cried repeatedly.

"Come on, Cathy. I can't wait." "Yeah, come on, Cathy. Can't wait for Ruby Tuesday." Rose Red looked up and saw Ella leaning against the door, still wearing her school uniform.Why is this skirt so short?she wondered. "El, you can't imagine it, can you?" Red Rose looked at her pleadingly. "You know how much Ruby likes you reading her stories." "Xiang, my Chinese is very good in class!" Ella rushed in, sat on the other side of the bed, held her little sister's hand, and said. "Would you like me to read you a story, Tuesday?"

Ruby's eyes lit up instantly. "Snow White! Snow White!" "Guji." Ella walked up to Red Rose, trying to take the book away from her hand. The red rose held tightly. "Did you finish your homework, miss?" The book was snatched from her clenched hands, and the response was a girlish grunt.Not that Ella was already a teenage girl.It will be a while before she is good enough.However, to an uninformed person, she could easily be regarded as a ignorant 14-year-old girl. Red Rose sighed and said. "I can assume you're done, can't you? In case someone asks."

Ella lifted her head for a moment and snorted again, then smiled brightly at her sister and began a lively recounting of Snow White's story.Ruby was enthralled. Ella could go on and on and on like this if she wanted to.It's just that she won't do this to Red Rose.
