I am a forensic doctor 张志浩 3589Words 2018-03-14
Today's forensic room is uncharacteristically quiet, and I'm sitting in front of the computer alone typing a report: I'd rather go out to handle the case than this job-although you already have a plan for the nature of the case, but it can't stand strict scrutiny It is another matter to express it in legal documents. Sometimes I have to look up books for a long time for how to express a concept more appropriately, and sometimes I even have to scrutinize how to use a word more and more. It is not uncommon for a report to deliberate for several days: because whether it is internal inspection or Court cross-examination after the entry into force.

I was writing the first draft of yesterday's inspection report when the office phone rang. The call was from Ye Jia from the procuratorate. In fact, every time Ye Jia called, it must be a troublesome case, because the procuratorate was mainly responsible for investigating crimes committed by state agency staff. But Brother Ye was born in the army, he is very upright, and with decades of experience, I like to contact him very much. The procuratorate is short of manpower, and he is the only one who takes the lead. Whenever there is a case that requires help, he will often find me, so we have worked together. several times.

Sure enough, this time it was a few policemen who took a drug addict to the sixth floor of a hotel for questioning. Thirty minutes later, the drug addict fell downstairs in the hotel. After listening to the case brief, I frowned and took it to the hotel? Why a hotel? But this kind of case is definitely difficult. We refer to the case of falling from a height as high falling. Together with the floating body in the water (we refer to it as water floating), it is known as the two major difficulties of forensic medicine: I have calculated that high school physics tells us that h=1/2gt2 (h= The height of the building, g=gravitational constant, t=time), a six-story building is generally about 20 meters, and if the air resistance is ignored at a height of 20 meters, the entire falling process only takes about two seconds.

Two seconds!Only two seconds! The passage of two seconds is hardly noticed by ordinary people, but it is precisely these two seconds that make a life disappear, and it is precisely these two seconds that we must figure out what happened in the end, which is not easy! When it comes to high-falling ordinary people, the associations are brains bursting, limbs and arms are broken. At that time, when I changed my major and applied for forensic medicine, my friend was very strange. I think many people would think the same way. As a forensic doctor, you have to deal with corpses, especially stumps and arms. Can you not be afraid? It may be that several years of experience as a surgeon have tempered my courage. Now I am not afraid of stumps and broken arms at all. Instead, I am afraid of a clean corpse with nothing to see. That means there are no clues. How to reconstruct the scene? How to solve the case?On the contrary, the more damage the body has, the more traces the criminal left behind, and the greater the possibility of rebuilding the scene.

Corpses that fall from high altitudes are often severely damaged, but often we can only judge the posture of the deceased before the fall, the process of falling and rolling, whether there is an intermediate obstacle, and the landing posture based on these serious injuries, and then reconstruct it based on these data on site. After more than an hour, Ye Jia and I drove to the scene of the crime. I observed the surrounding environment habitually. The hotel environment is not bad, relatively clean, and the street facing the crime window is relatively narrow. The local police and procuratorate had already arrived, and there was no time to exchange pleasantries, so we went straight to the point.

After careful observation, there are more and more doubts. First of all, the deceased was not as thin and thin as other drug addicts, and his arms were not full of needle holes like other drug addicts. After carefully observing his nasal mucosa, he basically had a bottom line in his heart. Drug addicts mainly take drugs in two ways. One is smoking, but instead of smoking white powder directly like in the movie (not many people do this), they use tinfoil or metal spoons to burn and smoke. It causes atrophy of the nasal mucosa; the other is injection, which is usually injected by oneself, so the arms are often full of needle holes.

But this person was indeed sent to RTL because of drug abuse, so there can only be one explanation. He has been abstaining from drugs for a while now. Continue to observe, and when the autopsy is over, my heart is already like a mirror. I have to tell everyone that my description of each trace on the deceased is not in the order in which we found it. We will have a fixed procedure for the inspection of the deceased, but if we follow that order, everyone will be confused. I don't know what to say, so I rearranged them and put them in order of occurrence, like showing everyone a movie, so that everyone doesn't have to burn as many brain cells as I did.

The first thing found should be the dust on the heel of the deceased's right foot. Experience tells me that this is definitely not caused by the heel landing after a high fall, because if it is such a powerful force, it will be transmitted upwards and cause a series of fractures of the deceased, such as the calcaneus, tibia, vertebrae, and the most common is the occipital bone under the skull. The fracture of the foramen magnum, this place is at the junction of the cervical vertebrae and the skull, is prone to injury. Moreover, when the left foot touches the ground, the force will cause the fracture on the right side of the foramen magnum, and the right foot will cause a fracture on the left side. I have not found These phenomena are definitely not caused by landing. On the contrary, I also found dust on the socks and insoles of my right foot, which shows that the deceased’s shoes once fell off, and then put them on again, so this should be a scuffle during the arrest process. likely to be formed.

The next discovery should be two parallel subcutaneous hemorrhages on the inside of his right thigh. Different from what people imagined, the subcutaneous hemorrhage after the human body was whipped by the rope-shaped object did not appear under the beating object, because after the beating, the body was injured. The blood directly under the force is squeezed away, but the capillaries on both sides of the hit object will rupture, showing two parallel subcutaneous hemorrhages. We call this "hollow subcutaneous hemorrhage" or "bamboo hitting hollow". This phenomenon will show the morphological characteristics of the casualty, but it is not only these.

What we can infer is that the person who hit the person first was more experienced, with more pain in the inner thigh, so it was not easy to be found. At the same time, he did not intend to let him die, but just wanted him to say something. Secondly, there are no similar marks on the opposite thigh and below the knee joint. We can infer the body position of the deceased when he was hit: kneeling, legs apart. Because if the deceased was beaten with a rope, if the deceased was standing and his legs were close together, there should be similar scars on the opposite thigh and under the knee joint. The absence of similar scars on the arm indicates that the deceased was completely controlled at that time and could not stop instinctively. .

Third, generally speaking, the force of the whip is relatively small. According to the trend of subcutaneous hemorrhage, we can deduce the position of the assailant: he stood on the left side of the deceased, waving his hand downwards, which was a posture of psychological threat. The beater will be afraid because he can't see when the whip falls on him, which is more to make him say something: if it's just to vent his anger, the beater will stand opposite, so it's easier to use force. (The orientations I’m talking about here are based on the human body standing, with the hands hanging down naturally, and the palms facing inward.) Then what happened was the key point of the whole case. The deceased’s wrist was injured, but the scars did not appear. The bindings, such as the pattern characteristics of the nylon rope, can be seen to be formed by handcuffs. What is strange is the characteristics and direction of the handcuff marks: the handcuff marks on the left hand are from the bottom to the inside, very oblique, and the right hand is the opposite, from the outside to the bottom, and there are large scratch marks from the handcuff marks to the bottom of the thumb , This shows that the traces of the handcuffs of the deceased were formed when he was uncuffed, and since the bottom of the thumb is the thickest part of the hand, he was successfully uncuffed!Uncuffing is a survival instinct, he didn't want to die, and the purpose of the police was just to ask something, why did he fall to his death in the end?I looked at the window of the room where the crime happened and thought, could it be that the police did something extreme to extract a confession, pushed him out of the window, and fell down the building by accident? Is it possible? If this is the case, there should be at least two policemen at the same time. It is different from the movie. The deceased weighed more than 130 kilograms. It is impossible for one person to complete this task. However, it seems that the window of the hotel is not that big; In just two seconds and the process of falling into the air, it is impossible for him to complete the uncuffing. There is only one reasonable explanation left. The deceased is preparing to escape!Let’s look back at the thinking activities of the deceased before and after he was uncuffed: Obviously, the police asked him something he knew but refused to say, so that he would rather run away; this is a very cunning person. At the same time, his eyes looked around to observe the environment. There were too many policemen, and it was impossible to escape from the door. He even tried it, and found that the handcuffs were not too tight; at the same time, he found that the window was very close to the opposite house, and there was a A large advertising sign (do you still remember that when I was observing the surrounding environment of the scene, I said that the street under the window where the accident happened is very narrow? Later I went to the scene to see it. If it is on flat ground, it is entirely possible to jump over it); then he chose He suddenly got into trouble when there was no one at a window, and escaped from the window to the advertising sign opposite, but he didn’t consider the window sill! One is because the window sill has a certain height and is an obstacle, and the other is that he was originally in a kneeling position, and it was obvious that he could not run up enough in the room, so he fell from the building and died! What happened later is irrelevant in this case: after falling from the building, he first hit the concrete rain cornice on the first floor horizontally. There was a change in the posture of the body: he fell to the ground with his head upside down. Any of these two blows would be fatal, and his end would be death! The only question left was: What did the police ask him that frightened him so much that he would risk such a risk to run away?In fact, this is not difficult to deduce. Later, when I told the analysis to the police present at the time, they finally told the truth and completely confirmed my inference: the deceased may be dealing drugs!Haha, everyone, don’t think that I’m acting like an afterthought, saying that I figured it out when I asked it out. I think so: this person cannot be forced to confess because of drug use. Manufacturing drugs, transporting drugs, and selling drugs are all crimes in our country. Drug use is not, it is just an illegal act. You should know who is taking drugs in your own area. These people may take risks at any time due to lack of drug funds. Although he has been abstaining from drugs for a while, anyone who has used drugs knows what kind of profiteering drug trafficking is (if it is not discovered), because he has a deep understanding; and the punishment for drug trafficking is enough for him to do it. With such actions, some people even carry guns and bombs with them to sell drugs. For them, success or success is all. Facts have proved that my analysis is impeccable. The police received a tip that he was dealing drugs, but the first one was not found on his body, the second one was dead, and all the clues were cut off. . I don't know how to rate this case. As a forensic doctor, I know the risks of drug enforcement, and I understand that everyone hates drugs, but everyone hates torture to extract a confession; the drug dealer has died, although he is likely to be guilty, but we have no evidence, and such a death is harmful to who, including He himself was an accident, and to some extent he is still a wronged soul; who can explain this kind of thing clearly in one sentence?Fortunately, I have completed the mission of the forensic doctor, and let the judge judge the rest!
