吕腾空这一怒，当真是非同小可，紫金刀就势一沉，“刷”地一刀，向下砍去，同时喝道：“何方朋友，作此暗算，好不要脸！”
那一刀挟着劲风，刀锋过处，将荆棘砍倒了一大片，那柄大钢钩，也同时一闪不见。
吕腾空在荆棘之上，这一耽搁，西门一娘早已隐没在黑暗之中不见，吕腾空暂时却无瑕理会西门一娘，一跃而下，全身真气鼓荡，不但将七十二关穴，一齐闭住，而且全身坚硬无比，竟然在荆棘丛中，硬冲了过去！荆棘的尖刺，虽将他身上的衣服，全都划破，但是却不能伤他的皮肤。
吕腾空一面硬撞，一面将手中紫金刀，左右挥砍，在那么密密的荆棘丛中，居然如鱼入水，前进得仍是十分快疾，窜前了四五丈，已然见前面一条人影，也学他那样，在荆棘丛中向前窜去。
吕腾空哈哈大笑，随着笑声，身子猛然拔起，居高临下，一招“天崩地裂”，紫金刀在昏暗之中，闪出一道紫虹，“呼”地砍了下去。
这一刀，乃是吕腾空毕生绝学，实在是非同小可，就算是一个石头人，也可以将之生生砍成两半，那人举起钢钩来架。
听得“铮”地一声，那柄钢钩，和紫金刀相碰，本来钢钩的钩尖，是向着吕腾空的，可是给吕腾空刀上的大刀一压，竟将整柄钢钩，压得向相反的方向，弯了过去，钩尖在那人头上，深深地陷入，那人大叫一声，便自死在自己的钢钩之下！
吕腾空倒未曾想到那人如此不济，不然自己一刀，也不需要用那么大的力道。
也却不知道，普天下武林人物虽多，但能够挡得住他那一刀的人，却也不会超过三十个去，那人不是一流高手，自然要遭惨死。
当下吕腾空手一探，将那人提起一看，见那人血流披面，也认不出是什么人来，想必也是觊靓自己身上木盒的，顺手一扔，便将那人扔出老远，忽然像是看见从那人身旁，跌出一件物事来。
吕腾空赶前一步，刀尖一挑，将那件物事，挑起一看，不由得愕然。
原来那是一块银牌，约有巴掌大小，上面镌着“地香堂主黄”五个字，反过来一看，则是一蓬烈火。吕腾空当然知道，那银牌乃是华山派十二堂堂主的令牌，欲则那被自己一刀劈死的人，正是华山派地香堂主了，难道华山脉中人已跟上了自己？
将银牌向空一抛，一刀削出，正好削在银牌之上，“当”地一声，将锒牌削出老远，重又向前赶了过丢，不一会，已然出了荆棘林，见前面，乃是一道小溪，潺潺而流。
可是西门一娘，却不知向同处去了。
吕腾空心中暗忖，华山派的地香堂堂主，既然在此出现，刚才那个蒙面人，难道竟是华山掌门，烈火祖师不成？
但是继而一想那人的形态，却又截然不像，华山烈火祖师，本是西域人，发红如火，身材高大雄伟，每一出动远有许多排场，绝不会单身来去，老妻所追那人绝不是烈火祖师，越是不知来历的敌人，越是难对付，不要她一人落了单便吃了亏！
