Among various industries in the world, whaling can be said to be a very special industry. Or a very glamorous and legendary industry. The reasons for all these characteristics are various, such as historical reasons, their own characteristics and characters. Although it is extremely dangerous and difficult, I am still grateful and proud, because I have joined this glorious rank and walked with the most excellent captain and sailor. Not enough, we have to complete the most glorious battle in the history of whaling. You know, I have exciting reasons for saying whaling is glorious. I have pored over the history of whaling, and roamed its long river-like course.

I am deeply attracted and conquered by its glorious, long and thrilling history. Of all the trades of all ages, none has been so grand and charming to real men as whaling. Nor is there any other trade which, by virtue of the remarkable qualities and abilities required, has been such a cradle, a cradle of heroes, as whaling. Even if I can't be a hero, I feel honored to be among so many heroes in this ranks. This is how I am. In my memory, there should be countless people who have a relationship with whales in one way or another, and become heroes because of their struggle with whales, and are admired for this.

Cupid's son Perseus is such a figure. In a sense, Perseus pioneered whaling. For all of us whalers, we should all worship him as our father, and call him our great master. Here is one of his legends. The beautiful Antromeda is the daughter of the Ethiopian king and queen. Her mother is proud of her daughter's beauty and often boasts that Antromeda is more beautiful than the dragon girl. However, this word reached the ears of Poseidon, and Andromeda's misfortune happened. The Poseidon was furious, and floods flooded Ethiopia, and all kinds of monsters followed the flood, eating people everywhere.

Then the king had a dream. The dream said that if he could throw his daughter into the sea and pay tribute to the monster, the disaster would be avoided. In order to save the country from disaster, the king reluctantly voted for his daughter. Andromeda was tied to a large rock by the sea and was about to be thrown into the sea. She wept sad tears. When the whale opened its mouth wide and was about to take Andromeda away, the brave Perseus came. Perseus raised the javelin in his hand and rushed forward bravely. With one shot, the whale was killed. Perseus saved Andromeda, and also Ethiopia.

Andromeda and Perseus stared at each other for a long time. Andromeda admires Perseus' bravery, while Perseus is overwhelmed by Andromeda's beauty. Because of this romance, the heroic Perseus and the beautiful Andromeda were married. Of course, this is a beautiful and fulfilling love story, and it does not happen in the reality around us. (A real whaling story would not be so complete.) Perseus did not fight for the oil of the whale, as we do now, but his valor, his strength, is unmatched by anyone now, including the best. So, to this day, he is an object of worship among us whalers, especially for a javeliner.

There is a similar story in the UK. Saint George, the patron saint of England, kills a big whale and then spends all he has on helping the poor, which is respected by everyone. At that time, people always confused whales with dragons, seals, seahorses, and even eagles. They didn't know enough about the particularity of whales. Of course, all this should be attributed to the ignorance of that era. Although the gods in these stories do not kill whales for a living, but kill whales to save the world, but he is our ancestor after all. So, in the great ranks of our whalers there are heroes, saints, and deities.

It is they who become our powerful spiritual forces, guiding us to strive to become heroes. I'm proud of our whalers, past and present.
